I would like to bring to your attention, dear bloggers, the beautifully handcrafted work of an extremely talented British women’s designer who has been donned as the “King of Sequins” by many who take an interest in fashion. His name, Ashish Gupat.

Ashish burst onto the fashion scene during LFW in 2004 and has an array of celebrity customers including Katy Perry, Little Boots, Jerry Hall, Victoria Beckham, Madonna, M.I.A, Estelle, Lily Allen, VV Brown and Kelly Osbourne.

His pieces are a fusion of eclectic pop meets punk couture meets bright alluring sportswear. The images of his collection only prove his genius and talent!

Ashish has in the past collaborated with world renowned “high street fashion mecca” Topshop with a fourth collaboration underway so watch this spot. Not only does Ashish have this dazzling collaboration to add to his CV yet a mini collection that will be available exclusively online via www.net-a-porter.com this fall (Australian equivalent spring) and furthermore a limited range of ultra exclusive pieces for Nike (is there something this designer isn’t doing?)
Ashish has drawn his inspiration from the Depression era circus for his AW09 collection. Click here
and/or here to view the website and his collection. I suggest to peruse the Spring/Summer collection for 2009 it is dark and bright at the same time as well as fun, I adore it!

It’s oh so British with a touch of Harajuku style, something us Aussie girls adore and would love to don. How can I get myself a pair of those to-die-for peep-toe booties?! NOW!
